by Jo in her Through The Keyhole blog a few weeks ago and commented there that I’d be happy to do a post in turn answering her questions which were as follows…
1. What is your earliest memory? The 1953 Coronation which all the family watched on an aunt and uncles new television.
2. Who would you hate to get stuck in a lift with? There are plenty of people but top of the list has to be Jeremy Clarkson who I think is a total boor, and that’s putting it politely!
3. What is your favourite food? Plain chocolate digestive biscuits!
4. What is the first record that you bought? I’m not sure but I remember being with my older sister when she bought the 7 inch 45 rpm version of Rock Around The Clock by Bill Haley and his Comets to play on our new Dansette record player.
5. What’s the first thing that you do when you get out of bed? Not quite the first thing but I put the kettle on then go out front to feed the birds, usually around 6.ooam all year round.
6. What was your first job? A clerical assistant at the North Thames Gas Board.
7. Who is your favourite author? John Lawton whose Troy novels I’ve read at least twice.
8. If you could go anywhere in the world on holiday where would it be? New Zealand but since I don’t like flying, or travelling much nowadays, I doubt if I’ll ever visit there.
9. Do you have a party trick? Thanks to a slight gap in my front teeth I can whistle without anyone realising who it is.
10. Will you be watching the 2012 Olympics? No, I have no interest in it.
11. Do you have any bad habits? Of course not, and if I do I’m keeping them to myself!
That’s it, and I’m not going to tag anyone with new questions. However if you want to do a post using these ones then please feel free to do so.

I’m not too keen on divulging personal stuff but it was interesting to read of your likes and dislikes and especially your secret whistle.
Elaine I don’t either. Thanks. xx
Like Elaine, I shy away from personal stuff, but these questions are not so bad
And, also like Elaine, it is interesting to get some insight on the person behind the Blog.
Mo like you I don’t divulge much about myself. Thanks. xx
Hi Flighty, I couldn’t agree more about Jeremy Clarkson, don’t understand why the BBC keep him. Lovely to find out a bit more about the person behind the blog. I’m rather partial to a dark chocolate biscuit myself. Hope you’re enjoying this lovely spring weather.
Welly’ we both know that the answer to that is money! Thanks.
Good for you, another darksider! I am, and I’ve been busy plotting all week. xx
Thanks for joining in, Flighty. I enjoyed reading your answers and getting to know you a little better. As for the choccie biccies, I totally agree about dark chocolate, so much nicer than milk chocolate.
Jo you’re welcome and I enjoyed doing it. You’re another darksider I see! xx
What fun! I’m glad you were tagged and enjoyed your delightful answers. John Lawton… I think I’ll look him up soon as I finish with the Maisie Dobbs series.
Nikki thanks! His books are set in London during and after the Second War cleverly combining fact and fiction. xx
The best fun was learning about your secret whistle. Can you whistle real tunes like that or is it just a sound? And if you do whistle real tunes, what is your favorite one to whistle? and do you whistle whilst you work..on the plot? Haha, more questions to answer
Glo I can whistle real tunes, and when I do it’s often the theme music from the film ‘The Great Escape’!
Olympics. How come we are all expected to be enthusiastic? What if there were an international knitting festival. Or a cultural exchange of postage stamps? Would we be expected to be interested in them too?
Lucy that’s something that niggles me too! xx
